Yep, they say that home is where the heart is, and whether you agree with that sentiment or not, it’s certainly nice to come home to somewhere you can be proud of. That’s why this week, my thought turned towards the possibility of upgrading my kitchen. This is to be financed by a little unexpected windfall which I’ll tell you all about later.

Anyway, my house could do with a few improvements in various places if I’m brutally honest. So why did I choose to start with the kitchen?

The Windfall

OK, so I did promise to mention where the money has come from to fund this little project. To be honest I’m a little bashful about this as I was suckered in by some advertising promotion, but it worked out this time!

What happened was I was browsing some sports websites looking forward to the big game this weekend, and happened to come across a promotion for the Coral free bet. I took this bonus and decided to put the money on an outcome with pretty high odds, so I had the full £30 on a 3-3 draw between Chelsea and Man Utd yesterday. Well, you know the rest!

I jumped out of my seat when the final goal went on from Hernandez. I’d just scored a win of more than £1000, and I decided that rather than squander the cash, I’d use it sensibly to pay for some improvements around the house.
